Harmesh
From a child, I've always loved German Shepherds and bought my first dog when I was just a teenager. From then my passion went to the working line and my interests soon developed in to Schutzhund sport and learning to become a helper.I am quite fortunate to be able to work with dogs, and was lucky enough to team up with a dog I had raised from a puppy named Raven. He is the dog that taught me the most due to him being difficult to handle and a constant challenge, it inspired me to learn more which has helped me with my future dogs.
After Raven retired from operational duties he lived at home with us until he passed in 2016. My new dog was called Justice whom I had from the age of 9 months, he licensed for operational duties at the young age of 12 months and retired in 2022 on his 9th birthday, he sadly died just a few weeks short of his 11th Birthday. My current GP dog, Dredd is a dog we bred from Aria and is a son of Justice, he licensed for operational duties in February 2022 and we qualified to compete in the National Police dog trials in May 2023, coming 10th out of 21 dog teams. In 2024 Team Dredd qualified once again to represent their police force in the National Police Dog Trials held in Scotland. I am really enjoying working with Dredd, he is a super all round dog and will most probably be my last service dog. In 2023 I licensed with a new specialist proactive search dog, Dustin, following my old dog Sam’s retirement.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching and participating as a helper in IPO / IGP dog sport. Being a member of the GSDL for several years it was in 2012 I co-founded a new club called Central Working Dog Group, with my wife and a few other members where I am one of its licenced helpers and tracklayers.
One of my main interests is being a helper in both IPO / IGP and police work.
Although I do most of the trials work for our club I really enjoy being a training helper, developing young dogs and I quite often help handlers with training issues in obedience, tracking and protection.
I ran on a young dog from our first litter and trained, Bindi from our second breeding, successfully qualifying to IGP3.

I have always owned and loved dogs and after having lived with working line GSDs for a few years I became involved in IPO now IGP but it was only in 2010 when I bought my first working line GSD, Lexi with whom I intended to train in IPO / IGP.It was an incredible journey, which I have thoroughly enjoyed with plenty of highs and lows, we have travelled the UK and Europe, meeting some great people and making life-long friends. In 2016 we successfully qualified to IPO3.
Lexi was an exceptional dog, she was a loving loyal companion with all of the qualities of a working line German Shepherd Dog. She taught me so much over the years and we had such a great bond.
Lexi had a super temperament, she attended Crufts Discover Dogs many times, representing the working line German Shepherd. Along with her great temperament, her proven working ability and good health, we decided to breed from her with the intention to keep a female to continue with my hobby and for future breeding. Sadly we lost Lexi in January 2023, at the age of 12 years old.
I kept Aria from our first litter and she has successfully qualified to IGP3, I have really enjoyed this journey with Aria, she is a super dog and is now my second dog to qualify from BH to IGP3.
Aria has had 3 litters, (C, D and E) we kept Cola from our C litter to run on and in December 2020 she successfully licenced as a police dog. We ran on Dredd from our D litter, whom is now a licensed police dog and still lives with us and now we have kept Exa from Aria’s last litter to hopefully continue with our line.
As we wanted to introduce a new line to our breeding program, we imported Fiyah Mersak from Slovakia in May 2022. we are so happy with Fiyah, she has fit in so well with the rest of the pack and has now been added to our breeding programme having received excellent health results in March 2023, she also has completed a show grading and a character assessment and passed the BH test in August 2023. I am really excited to what the future brings with Fiyah, she is a super female. We have had our first litter from Fiyah in September 2024 (F Litter) and will be following this litter with interest to hopefully repeat this combination to keep a puppy in the future.
I am also training Exa in IGP from our last litter, Exa has now had all her health tests done with superb results so she has been added to our breeding programme and hope to have a litter from her in the future.
I also have qualified to OFQUAL Level 3 Award in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare and I am trained in canine first aid.
Our Dogs
We have always had a keen interest and love for The Working Line German Shepherd which was originally bred with working ability in mind, they were expected to enthusiastically perform rigorous jobs, repeatedly and flawlessly every time while still serving as a loyal protector and companion for its family.
